Acrylics and Watercolours

I like to paint with watercolour and acrylics, as well as monkeying around with collage.  I’m motivated by some organizations I care about, with people who mostly work against terrible odds to make the lives of other species better. They include Quebec’s Fauna Foundation, the only sanctuary for retired biomedical primates, Kenya’s David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, who rescue and rehabilitate orphaned elephants, and Friday Harbour’s Centre For Whale Research, who tracks the Southern Resident Killer Whale Clan and transients to assess their health and numbers. 

Like life, nothing is ironclad. Inspiration is everywhere, mostly in the natural world, from pets, family and friends to what feels charming and magical to me.
