​My inspiration comes from the many beautiful subjects that I have experienced through my travels, particularly within Alberta and British Columbia. I spend a great deal of time sketching, photographing and painting the tranquil settings of the west coast, the rugged mountains of British Columbia and Alberta, and the panorama of the prairies and foothills. As well, my subjects include a wide variety of the beautiful flowers found in Western Canada. In my paintings, I work to convey a mood or sense of feeling, rather than focusing on detail.

​I have studied art at the University of Calgary and the Alberta College of Art. I am an active member of The Group Art Society of Calgary and a former member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. 

My family and I have enjoyed the inspiring and creative environment of Piers Island since 1987.
